They say it’s killing off seniors 65 and older--------------
I’ll be 65 this April. As I listened to the various news outlets about this new strain of virus Psalm 91:3 came to mind. “He will deliver you from . . . . . . the deadly pestilence.” Verse 6 says, “I don’t have to fear the pestilence that stalks in darkness.”And verses 9-10 says, “Because I have made the Lord my dwelling place no plague shall come near my tent.”
Psalm 91 begins with “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand].” AMP
Because I dwell in the “Secret Place” of the Lord, I don’t fear Covid-19. I’m not panic shopping trying to buy all the toilet tissues, paper towels, and hand sanitizers I can get my hands on. And I’m not worried that this pestilent will overtake me and my family.
I trust God implicitly!
This trust that I have comes from an experiential relationship with the Lord. At age 19 a CTA bus ran over my legs, fracturing my right knee and left ankle. I walk without a limp or a cane. At age 24 I flatlined on the operating table during a minor procedure and rose to talk about it. At age 39 chemo treatments for breast cancer shrunk major vessels to my heart causing 2 heart attacks. Before going into surgery (to remove the tumor) my cardiologist said he couldn’t promise I’d live to see my 40th birthday. I recovered, and I no longer have coronary heart disease. I hope he sees this article.
In every area of my life, Adonai has been there for me, and for my family.
The children of God need not fear this virus. The Lord knows how to cover and protect His people.
